Shaftesbury invest in real estate in London’s West End, a location that has many unique features which bring prosperity, resilience and opportunity to the local economy.
The existing building currently consists of a 4 storey podium block currently laid out as office, retail and 7 levels of residential within a tower above. Set within the Soho Conservation Area the existing building dates from the 1960’s.
Strip-out of the existing interiors and removal of the existing cladding will commence in May 2016 and following this the existing building structure, which is largely retained, will be extended from ground to fourth floor levels.

During March we plan to complete structural steel installation at 5th floor level around Broadwick and Marshall St elevations along with the new 4th floor steelwork at rear of the building.
During February we shall be completing the structural steel installation along Broadwick St elevation.
We have started back at work from
our Christmas break and have had no
issues over this period.
We have made good progress in the month of November and have completed the demolition to the structure and facade of the building, and removed all the demolition scaffolding.
We have made good progress in the month of October, but due to the road closure in Broadwick Street, by Thames Water, we have struggled to remove demolition waste from site which has slowed up the demolition works.

Since the last update, we have completed the soft strip and breaking up the screed.
